Estate Planning is the process of determining how your assets will be distributed at the time of your death. An estate plan may include the creation of Wills, Revocable Trusts, Irrevocable Trusts (including Life Insurance Trusts, Dynasty Trusts, and Children’s Trusts), Financial Powers of Attorney, Medical Powers of Attorney, Directives to Physicians, HIPAA Authorizations, Declarations of Guardian, Family Limited Partnerships, and Limited Liability Companies. In addition, an estate plan will address non-probate assets such as life insurance, retirement assets, and bank accounts that pass outside of probate.
